We looked at 4 houses today. The pickins sure are slim at this point. It seems we either see tiny houses for way too much money (Sunset) or houses where people have just kept adding all sorts of rooms with no permits and no concept of architecture, practicality, or aesthetics! Plus real ugly bathrooms everywhere. Seafoam tile... with seafoam paint... and seahorse hardware! One house even featured a toilet in a closet which the showing agent kindly informed us was "likely" not permitted.... really? Oh and a newsflash to those trying to sell... just fixing the kitchen and giving it granite countertops and stainless steel appliances while leaving the rest of the house looking like trash isn't going to fool us. (sorry to the realtor(s) who frequent(s) this blog, I know that's a big selling point). Can you tell we're getting frustrated?
But in nicer news... here's Tommy's picture of the day:

We had a lovely afternoon at the Godparents' home. Thanks to Tim & Sara for the BBQ and summertime fun until the fog rolled in. 48 hours of summer heat sounds about right for the area. Now we're ready to settle into the summer fog. Except for next Saturday.... let's hope for some sunshine!

Don't forget to settle for something. I think a toilet in a closet is still an extra toilet. BUY! BUY!
