Tommy had his first trip to the dentist today.
You may recognize the toys and office.Amazingly, we had virtually no drama! The only splotchiness came when they called him back and he had to leave the toy behind!

Before: Smiling, but with a little hesitation, it seems.

Here they put this purple stuff on his teeth to make any plaque show up. I was holding my breath. I mean, they're not going to lecture HIM if this doesn't look good! Fortunately, he looked great and we're apparently doing a good job.

Now the cleaning - notice he's totally calm about all of this, I was shocked!

And the secret to all this? Wouldn't you know...?

He got 2 prizes and a sticker for his bravery!

I think that was the best dentist appointment I have ever had!
Things sure have changed. The fluoride treatment was this little foam that took 2 seconds to apply. No sitting and biting on gauze drooling into a bowl for 15 minutes? How will he ever learn how to play Super Mario Bros.? (shout out to Dr. Halterman)
His teeth look great except for a small overbite (sorry Tommy) and apparently, a small upper jaw! All the pieces may be coming together as to why this kid, and Lucy, weren't able to nurse normally. In the end, he didn't want to leave the office. A great time was had by all.
