At the Academy

While Tommy went to a couple Giants games this week, Lucy took a couple of trips to the Academy of Sciences. Once Nana and Jen used their passes to get us all in to check out the lizards and snakes. Then Grandma and Lucy went back on their own during the week for time in the cove.
So she meets this boy outside of the cove, and shows off her calves... Grandma says he is "pre-verbal" so he just roars at her.

Next thing you know, she is barefoot in the kitchen. Yikes! Watch out girls!

Giant Week

Tommy was lucky enough to go to two Giants games this week. The first on Wednesday, with Nana and Jennifer and the second on Saturday with our family and Jennifer.

Wednesday:

Saturday was the Giants Alumni Game so we went early for the old guy batting practice and game. Mostly to see one player...
These two stood along the first base line trying to wave, get pictures, and maybe get a ball. There were guys on either side of them trying to get Tommy a ball, but no luck. Tom did get to be 10 feet from Will Clark, so he was happy enough!

After a big hit on the little field, Tommy tries to catch (like Buster Posey) in the outfield.
May not have the knees for it...

Here is his hit:

Watching the Giants

I asked Mom to join me on my day off and go to the Giants game. Of course she said and let's bring Tommy. Tommy is amazing. He knows the most of the players and their numbers. Let's face it - with all the new players joining the team on almost a weekly basis - who besides me knows all of them?

"Matt Cain is the pitcher" says Tommy. And in the next breath "Buster Posey broke his fibula. But he's getting better right?"

It was a great game (aside from being only 2 hours 15 minutes long). The game went by too fast and I didn't remember to take more pictures.

Go Giants!

Lucky Mama

I am on senior retreat right now,(4 day silent retreat with soon to be SI seniors.). But I got a special delivery yesterday on my birthday. Grandma was kind enough to bring down Tommy and Lucy for a visit and a hug since I will not be home until Thursday evening. Plus, they brought cake!

I am loving this picture!

Tommy led Lucy all around the retreat center as the high school kids oohed and awwwwed (it was a break time so they could talk!). He looks like such a big boy and a proud big brother here. We are seeing this look more and more on him these days. She seems pretty happy too!

And they brought birthday cards!

Thanks to Grandma for making the trip (twice!) and also thanks to Nana for the extra childcare this week. I know there will be more pictures soon of my week away. From Chabot to the Academy to the Giants game, these kids are keeping busy in my absence.
