She Walks (and other tricks)

She's been taking a couple of steps at a time for a week or so now. Yesterday she escalated to 5 consecutive steps so we're gonna call this one a walker at 14 months



Other interests include playing ball - she is obsessed with basketballs and enjoys watching the game live.




And she loves food so much, she even pretends to eat!

Pajama Party

Aunt Barbara was in town this weekend for an awesome and work-free visit. Though she was battling a cold, Barbara read stories, did puzzles, experienced taking two kids grocery shopping in the rain, braved a sleepover with both kids (even taking a midnight trip to the store for Orajel!), and still made waffles for a bustling brunch. Some vacation!









With everything rainy and everyone sick, a lot of time was spent snuggling.














Aunt Jennifer also enjoyed some kid time, taking Tommy to the Academy of Sciences and persevering to get Lucy down for a much needed nap.

Mission Accomplished!

Many thanks to Uncle Ray and his quarter operated laundry machines! The final quarter has been found. Tommy had to do some leg work for this one, sorting through and then helping re-roll 6-7 rolls of quarters, but patience proved valuable and there was the US Virgin Islands! Thanks to all who contributed quarters and effort. He did the whole thing in less than two months because he had a lot of help.

Lucy is up to one or two brave steps before falling into waiting arms. She seems to get a kick out of the falling/catching so that may delay the actual walking.

Sunset Alphabet

Tommy obviously likes to memorize things and we're happier if his knowledge is of useful facts. Seems like you can't get more useful than this considering how often we drive along Sunset Blvd.

My Baby's on YouTube

Grandma, Marco, and Tommy are on their 3rd month of classes at Chabot Space & Science Center. Tommy really enjoys them and has wowed everyone with his tales of the phases of the moon or letting us know when he has fallen on his coccyx. Chabot made a promotional video during some recent classes - Grandma was even interviewed! Our boys tend to place themselves front and center so they are heavily featured in the video. (if you hear a kid talking, odds are it is Tommy)
