More baseball!
Tommy and his parents joined me and some of my friends for the Red Sox - Giants series finale.
The weather was great.
The company was great.
The Giants well....maybe they are saving their hits for the Dodgers this week.
Enjoying a hot dog.

With his dad.

Sporting the rally caps. Tommy really wasn't a fan of wearing the cap differently but he went along with it for the picture.

Go Giants!

-----------
Once again Jen beats us home from the game and is the first to post pictures! Here are some more:

Our first time in the kids' park

Nice shot Tommy! (and camera shot Mommy's phone!)

It will be clearer if you watch this full screen... clearly we have to work on some fundamentals. Like where first base is. For some reason he thought he had to tag the back wall. At least he put the bat down this time, unlike his first hit!
Today's giveaway... Panda masks!

Weight Check
Lucy's 6 month check up was today and she's doing great.
Weight: 15lbs 8 oz / 45%ile (2lb 1 oz gain in 2 months)
Height: 25in / 30%ile
To look at her thighs, one might not think Lucy that petite, however, when compared to her brother at the same age... Tommy was 17lbs 15oz and 26.5 in!! Yikes, I guess their growth charts may diverge from here on out!

Rockin with Maps... and Rocks!
Ever since receiving his USA Floor Puzzle for his birthday, Tommy has been way into the 50 states. If you haven't witnessed it, it's quite a spectacle to behold. Tommy now has all of the states memorized and can identify them on any map. Papa isn't teaching summer school this year so he and Grandama have set up a little classroom in their hallway for studious grandchildren.

Grandama also has a lot of new learning tools around the house after cleaning out her classroom. Here they are in astronaut helmets assembling the planet puzzle.
"This is ground control to Major Tommy..."

After a trip to the Farmer's Market, Tommy explores the Pacific Ocean.

They ran into Luke, who's daddy grew up on our street.

Lucy's First Game - more pictures added!

I was the lucky recipient of four tickets to the Giants game yesterday. When my co-worker couldn't make it, I invited Lucy and her parents to the game. Aunt Barbara came too.
It was a great first game. Lincecum pitched. Struck out 10, gave up a few hits, walked a few and kept it interesting. Huff homered TWICE, one went in the bay. And for the second time in 4 days, in the 6th inning, Huff and Uribe homered back to back. And the Giants won.
It was very warm and Lucy wasn't really digging that but she was a trooper. She tolerated my attempts to apply sunscreen all over her. She ate, slept, woke up and moved to the shade when it was creeping up to the row behind us.

I think she liked the cold cup, or her Diet Coke habit is starting young.

A Half!
6 months old today! (stats to come next week)

Here's Tommy at 6 months. I think his thighs might be bigger... and he's not wearing a cloth diaper so that bulk is all his.

Fancy Meeting You
Aunt Barbara is in town and finally got a chance to meet Lucy!

I think in just a few hours, Tommy made Barbara play with every toy in Nana's house and still managed to tell her that "New Jersey is above Maryland and Delaware"

Baby Nana
We agree. Just add a set of Cecchin cheeks, chins, eyebrows, and thighs!
(sorry about the cell phone pic of a pic)
Sitting Pretty
At almost six months old Lucy hasn't quite got the hang of sitting up but she's close. Here are some adorable pictures of her propped up, though.

And she's started eating solid foods. So far she's a big fan of everything we've tried which includes sweet potatoes, bananas, rice cereal, apples, and carrots. Peas... well they're growing on her but this was the first attempt.

First Day of School
Tommy started preschool today and he did great. Drop off went smoothly, we located his cubby, stored away his lunch, and off he went to play Legos. I managed to pull him away for a kiss goodbye and then Lucy and I were off. I returned at noon to pick him up and he'd had a great morning.
So far I've managed to learn:
1. that he counted bees and then his teacher taught him how to cut them out of the paper.
2. His teacher told him to "shhhhh" (I did not like that one, but who's surprised, really?)
3. His teacher put paint on his feet (I see some sort of footprint art project in our future)
4. he didn't eat the lunch I made because they had a pizza party (great, lunch for tomorrow is done)
Clearly, he enjoyed himself and we're off to a good start!
