Posing

Lucy has been loving her glamor shots lately. We checked in at the doctor today and she's weighing in at 17lbs 8oz and measures 26" - a whopping 10th percentile in height!

Check out the cheeks and flowing tresses!

Batter Up!

Last night we used the tickets Tommy won at his library party. It was Buster Posey t-shirt giveaway night. I met up with Tommy and his dad just after the gates opened. Nana, Meredith and Lucy arrived a little bit later.

Despite the crazy crowds, there was no line at the kids batting area. Tommy showed off his skills. He's doing great at hitting and dropping the bat. We're working on heading to first, well first, rather than straight to the wall.

Rockin' the orange t-shirts.

We had a great time at the game, despite how poorly the Giants played and the final score.

My brother and mom took some great pictures as well, so look for more soon!
Thanks Tommy for sharing the tickets with us!

Labor Day at the Academy.

Nana had Tommy and Lucy on Labor Day so we decided to go to the Academy of Sciences.

Tommy Lately

Being three - or having a 3-year-old - seems to have its moments. I hope to remember these cute ones and repress the battles over breakfast, the instant meltdowns, and the whining!

Tommy's favorite accessory around the house these days.

Daddy & Tommy have been playing baseball a lot lately. This is the backyard at Nana's, in the evening!

First day of the new school year!

How we find him some mornings (when he hasn't crawled into our bed...) Just reading...

Pumped for the Giants game tonight.

He made this at preschool this summer.

9 months old

Lucy turned 9 months old on the 16th and with each day her personality and voice become more and more clear and defined. Her "mama" and "dada" are expanding into elaborate ramblings and she's clearly working on "nana" "gaga" and "papa." Tommy just gets squeals of delight.
She weighed in at about 17 1/2 lbs this week at her 3rd ear check (all clear finally) but we'll get an official weigh in and measurement next week at her checkup. In the mean time, enjoy the shiny rosy cheeks of Lucy!

(When Tommy turned 9 months old, Marco was born! There are also a lot of pictures of Tommy sitting in or near moving boxes as we got ready to move into Nana's house!)

Jog for Jill picture

Thanks again to those who supported my Jog for Jill. Lucy and I had a lovely walk. I saw so many current and former students and an old family friend who managed to snap a picture of Lucy and I.

It was a very emotional day/weekend, but I was reminded of the amazing community around us all and enjoyed sharing the walk with Lucy (even though looking down at her kept making me cry!)

A big congrats to Heather & her sis for doing the 2 day breast cancer walk!!

Granny Cam

Lucy is loving her Grandma & Nana day care situation and we are loving all the great pictures we get each day

(Nana would like the record to show she is strapped in, under her dress)

A rare family picture, gathered around an iPad of course

Lucy learns "The Truth About Brake Pads" on an outing with Grandma

Grandma swears he had fun playing in the sand, writing his name and such.

Grandma and Papa have assembled an "interplanetary center" for Dora & Diego

Lucy got a new toy... and a new hat!

Tom returned to the doctor yesterday to recheck Lucy's ears. Apparently the baby pictured below still has a double ear infection that is apparently "resistant" to the antibiotics she took the last 2 weeks. So she had to get an antibiotic shot and goes back for a rerecheck next week. This time the doctor's scales (office across town) had her at 17 lbs! Could she really have gained 14 ounces in 2 weeks? The rolls in this picture seem to indicate... yes.
