Road Trip with Nana

Tommy's school was closed for the last two days before the "new year" begins. So Tommy and Nana took a road trip to Vacaville to visit Nana's friend Marilyn and to visit the rides at the Nut Tree.

Rides, ice cream, and a visit to the Jelly Belly store. Yeah, I think this kid had a pretty fun day!

The above Fourth of July outfit was finally able to be worn during this week's heat wave. Don't let those thighs fool you, she's actually only 16lbs 2 oz.

Jog for Jill

This summer one of my former students Jill Costello lost her battle to lung cancer. Jill was 22 years old.

8 months old

No doctor's appointment this month so I don't know Lucy's stats, but I can tell you that she's enjoying most every food we offer and looks to rival Tommy as a chatterbox. Snoopy photo shoots are getting more difficult with an increasingly squirmy baby. She is not crawling at this point, but she would certainly like to be! School is back in session at S.I. on Friday so Grandma & Nana's daycare will be in full effect. We are so lucky!!

UPDATE for the baby book. Weigh in at doctor's office at 8 months: 1 week was 16lbs 2oz.... and 2 ear infections and a stomach virus.

Twain Harte

Loyal blog stalkers are going to hear a lot about Twain Harte. All your favorite blogs were there.

We had a great time this weekend. Tommy willingly waded into the lake up to his waist and then would get nervous. I did bring him in deeper and immerse him up to his chest (with a life vest on, even!) and he was NOT happy with me in the least. Water fun was had in the end, thanks to Grandma's boats and a boat ride with Daddy.
