These are too cute. (I hope Tom agrees!)

Go Sharks - Round 2
Tom, Lucy, and I are off to the Sharks game tonight. This is Lucy's 2nd game (both against the Red Wings)
Here's Lucy at about 4 1/2 months in our Sharks outfit. Loose on top, tight on the bottom thanks to the cloth diaper (and Cecchin legs)

Here's Tommy around 6 months in same outfit. This time it's just the legs to blame! (and perhaps a poorly cut outfit?)

Quite a Bit of Assembly Required
SHHH! don't let Tommy see this before Saturday!
Thanks to Nana for taking kids on Sunday so we could assemble Tommy's birthday present. We beat the 3 1/2-hour kitchen assembly coming in at 2 hours 45 minutes. Tom did the bulk of the work, of course.

The other challenge was keeping Tommy out of the backyard for the past week. The rain helped a little. Every other day I just told him it was too muddy. We can't wait to show him tomorrow. I'm sure this will be a big attraction at the party too!

Big Bro Milestone
As this is the baby book, I must note a milestone. After a whopping 4 months and one week, the "Big Bro" is over it.
"Mommy, I want Lucy to go back in your tummy."
UPDATE: After a nap and some lunch, Tommy reconsidered his comment and apologized to his sister. They are back in love, for now.

Weighing In
We had our first double doctor's appointment today with Lucy's 4 month and Tommy's 3 year checkups. Quite a sight to behold:
Here are the stats:
Tommy - 30lbs 8oz, 37.5" (first time he got to stand on the big kid scale!)
Lucy - 13lbs 7oz, 24"
Lucy is holding at about 1/4" shorter than Tommy for the same age, but she's over 2lbs lighter than he was!
Doc says they are both 50%ile for everything.
Thanks to Nana for the assist!

Road Trip! pt 2
We left Buena Park on Thursday afternoon and continued South to San Diego. We picked up Grandma at the airport and met Uncle Mike at the U.S.S. Midway to run around a little by the water.

Then on Friday we were off to LegoLand!

Phrase of the day: "Look, Tommy, that's made out of Legos!"

Go Sharks!
Not a shot most surfers would pose for...

In Minitown posing in front of the Venetian on the Vegas Strip, where we stayed for our honeymoon 5 years ago. How things have changed... this is the closest we'll get for a while!
(P.S. Sara, so glad I borrowed your Ergo... awesome since Tommy didn't want to sit in Lucy's seat in the stroller and he needed a nap!)

The nap continued on Uncle Mike when I grew tired of carrying the sleeping child on my back. Let me take this moment to say that Uncle Mike rocks!

Finally we were able to deposit him in the stroller!

A new teaching tool for the classroom

Obviously, Grandma and Meredith held the cameras all day so there's little photographic evidence of our presence on the trip. We had fun too!
The only ride Lucy got to ride!

These were Tommy's favorite part of the whole park. We visited them twice!

Thanks Uncle Mike!
Grandma joined us for the long ride home which was incident and traffic free. Can't ask for more than that! Cali enjoyed walks around SF with Nana and Finn survived his stay at Shamrock Ranch. A good time was had by all!
