Are We 3 Yet?

If you look closely you can see Tommy's telltale tantrum-induced blotchiness. ugh...

This is the result of a Serramonte meltdown complete with tears, screaming, and going limp on the floor. My great offense? We had to leave the store that had a tv. Mean Mommy.

Looking forward to 3 in this house... here's hoping it's good. Tommy has also decided he will go on the potty when he is 3. So right now, I'm considering bumping his birthday up a month or so!

Hockey Talk

While watching Olympic Hockey:

Daddy: Tommy, who do you want to win: Switzerland or Canada?
Tommy: Candyland!

2 months old - Blue eyes?!

So Lucy is still hanging on to her Baby Blues. Doc says they won't be definite until 6 months, but Tommy's pics at this age show his eyes already browning. So maybe my daughter won't be able to thoroughly enjoy "Brown Eyed Girl" Oh well, she's pretty cute with her blue eyes. Who does she look like here?

At her 2 month appointment last Friday, Lucy clocked in at 10 lbs 10 oz and 22 1/4 inches. Both are just around 50th percentile so she's right on track. (Tommy at 2 months was somehow 12lbs and 23 inches - we were kind of gorging him on milk at that point!)

Nana and Tommy came along to her appointment.

Lucy's 2 month Snoopy picture
Tommy's 2 month with Spiderman - clearly all that weight was holding him down

Pictures

So the picture of Tommy looking in on Lucy reminded me of this picture of my sister and me.

And in looking for that picture, I found this one of my brother napping. Arms above the head, just like Tommy.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

Tommy's become a regular at Mozzarella Di Bufala Restaurant on West Portal after joining Nana and Maureen there the last few Wednesdays for lunch. He runs into the front door and claims their booth. Who knows what will happen if anyone is ever sitting there! Everyone knows him, and Maureen, and what they like to order. He has a blast and Lucy and I were lucky enough to join them this week so Tommy could introduce his sister to everyone.

Always in style

Cute baby girls and wood paneling: always in style!

The story behind the "SIS" shirt, for those who don't know, is that Tim and Jeff wore it too, but it just said "SI". But since Meredith was a girl and SI wasn't co-ed, the shirt had to be changed. If you look carefully, you can almost see the moment Dad started changing his mind about co-ed!

Lucy in GrandmaLand

G-ma got this dollhouse at a garage sale and it has been a popular piece with all the grandkids. Lucy got to check it out this weekend and ended up looking like Alice in Wonderland.

Little Monkey

A month into gymnastics and Tommy is totally loving it now. He tries everything, follows directions well, and is getting better at sitting still, listening, and following directions. His teacher is very very good at enforcing those rules, which is probably one of the best things he'll learn from these classes!

Here's Tommy and Miss Nicole on the rings:

Peaceful Baby

We were accused of using a substitute cheeky baby in a previous post. Here's Lucy from a couple of angles (with gravity working for and against her) so you can see what she really looks like. G-ma C suggests that this lass may wish that we no longer photograph her from the chin up!

Dia'logs'

While assembling Lincoln Logs, Tommy asks Nana for help. Nana grabs the instructions telling Tommy:

"Sorry, Tommy, this is not Nana's forte"

Tommy responds, "No Nana, this is Tommy's fort!"
