School Pictures

I don't think I ever shared these, as we were waiting for while for Tommy's school to take pictures.

Enjoy!

Baby, Take a Bow!

December was full of performances.  In fact, one week in December was full of performances.  From December 14-December 22nd, we had 4 different performances to attend.  Lucy's school Christmas concert, Lucy's gymnastics winter show, Tommy's school Winter Concert, and Lucy's dance recital.  Miss Lucy dominated the performances in this particular week, but both of our kids really lit up the stage and stole a little limelight when it was their turn.

I've assembled a mega-mix of the four performances and cropped and zoomed in on the Galvin kids in all situations where necessary.  I did not always select the best seat in the house, so had to wrestle with some obstacles and pushier parents.  I'll learn... Here's what I got!

This is a video from the dress rehearsal of Lucy's recital. It's a more polished performance than the show itself, but with less tongue. I got to sit in the front row and film with no obstacles and for that I'm truly grateful. Happy with this recording, I sat at the actual recital with no camera in my hands and simply enjoyed the show. (Thanks to Grandma for taking the show video!)  If you didn't get enough in the last video, here's a close up of Lucy's dress rehearsal.

Some pictures from the shows:

Birthday Celebrations

Lucy turned 3 with several small celebrations with family and friends.

It started with a birthday cake at the Gilroy Christmas Kick-Off.

(there was a C and a Y, but they didn't hold up well and we did not need that much cake)

"Little" cousin Dominic and Lucy are now about the same height (she's twice his age).

These two are turning out to be quite a pair!

Nana and Jennifer took Lucy out to ice cream a few days before her birthday and she got to blow candles out there too.  Word is that the person who ran the ice cream shop actually went to a store to buy candles for Lucy!

We celebrated Lucy's birthday at school by bringing in donut holes to celebrate.  Note to parents: the teachers were very excited by the donut holes.  I think they get sick of cookies and cupcakes and these required no clean up!  Lucy got a sprinkled donut.

On the big day, she posed for her picture with Snoopy and showed off how big she's getting.

We also had another cake and more candles!

A few days later at the doctor she measured:
Weight: 28lbs 13oz (29%ile)
Height: 34.5" (4%ile)
Head: 49.8cm

She was also very pleased with a few of her birthday presents.

Some other highlights from Miss Lucy

oh... and she went to the eye doctor.  Her vision is actually fine right now, but the doctor foresees glasses in Lucy's future as she is already showing astigmatism in both eyes.

Lucy's favorite past time these days has been singing and dancing.  She is already staging dance recitals in living rooms all around town.  Here are just a few captured during the holiday season.
