After two years of trips to Twain Harte where Tommy has barely allowed us to dip his toes in the lake, we're determined this year to get him wet. We have a couple of weeks to get him ready to "immerse" himself in Twain Harte Lake so we "warmed" him up at Lake Temescal today with Marco and Grandma. Unfortunately, it was overcast and breezy. This didn't stop Grandma and the boys. Tom, Lucy, and I stayed bundled up on shore. Tommy waded in up to his knees with an inner tube making him feel secure. He tripped at one point and fell forward briefly "swimming" as we told him. That did not go over well and was pretty much the end of Tommy in the water today. Hopefully, it wasn't too traumatizing and he'll be more daring in warmer water in a few weeks!

Tommy & Marco are now enjoying a sleepover at Grandma & Papa's house. Here's a picture Grandma has already sent.

He's got a long way to go until he can duck under water and come up through the inner tube. That's a pretty advanced move.
