Tommy's birthday present came a little early as we went shopping this weekend for his new bike.
We picked up a helmet this week and took it (and Tommy) for the first ride yesterday. Approximately 3 seconds into the first ride, Tommy took a hard left turn on a slight incline on the court in front of Grandma & Papa's house and down he went. So after a very brief first ride, we had another major childhood right of passage...
... the first skinned elbow! But, after a few tears, we were back on the bike in the safety of the garage.
When Papa got home, he convinced Tommy to brave the outside once again.
Pardon the multi-adult coaching on this video. It's a team effort to keep Tommy's mind and eyes on the road when he wants to talk to you about "Stack the States" for the iPad!
