He walks!

He first did this earlier this week, but this is the first video evidence. He's up to about 3-4 steps but his standing is very solid and he does awesome squats! Say goodbye to the roly poly thighs... hmmm I should try some of those squats too!

1st Giants Game!

Seems funny that it took us so long, but today we finally got around to Tommy's first Giants game. He's done the A's, Sharks, 49ers, and Irish/Wildcats but this was his first real Giants game (though he'd been to AT&T park before...) Thanks to Jen for getting the good Gensler seats (club level...ooh). The weather was nice and cool, Tommy was perky for most and napped for the rest of the game. A good time was had by all including the people sitting around us who commented on his cuteness!

Lots of leg room on the Club Level.

I think in this picture, he must have stuck his fingers in something he shouldn't have... I don't remember but our faces seem to tell the story. Lou Seal was leading a bunch of young girls in cheers in the upper deck and Tommy was staring at him for a while... with this confused look.

Marco, this outfit is heading your way. This is the first chance he's had to wear it and it's 6/9 months so we didn't quite get it snapped! There are shorts too... but it wasn't shorts weather.

Weekend at Joey's

Ok, well Joey wasn't exactly there but we enjoyed our Memorial Day weekend hanging with Davis and enjoying the worlds of cable and DVR at Tim & Sara's house while they vacationed elsewhere. That's why I haven't updated (...Greg!)

We had the inspection on the house yesterday and everything looks great so it looks like we're moving ahead!

Expect a walking video any day now. He took 2 steps this morning... toward Al Roker on the TV. hmmm..... maybe we'll erase that precious memory.

Enjoy these pics of Tommy enjoying Joey's toys!

SIGNED A CONTRACT ON A HOUSE!!!

We made an offer on a house today, got a counter offer and accepted it!! We have 10 days to do inspections, etc and can cancel the contract if anything comes up that we didn't know about but I don't anticipate that. I could very well be moving into my new house in a month!!! It's a 3 bedroom which is unbelievable. We never thought we'd find one we could afford that was in good shape and this one is! It's in a great little neighborhood with everything we need close by. Very close to work but out of San Francisco proper (not going to say where here on the internet but the pics should be a clue if you are familiar with the area).

Good news Jeff... original furnace! (works great though...)

Here are some pics from the real estate website.

Bathroom (with the required pink tile... really more of a salmon in person)Photobucket

the kitchen is completely original... hence the old stove & cabinets. A kitchen upgrade is in our future but everything is functional and in great shape. Photobucket Photobucket

I'm jazzed! Here's hoping the inspections go smoothly and we're in there in a month! Sign-ups for movers will be posted soon. Last move, I swear if I have anything to do with it!

Hanging with the cool cats

Tommy came over on to my house on Saturday to hang out while his parents and Nana Carol were at the 6th grade play. I warned the cats that Tommy was coming and scoured the chatchkies looking for toys Tommy could play with. I rounded up some cars, my Steve Young action figure, my Giants Mr. Potato Head and some stuffed animals. Things were looking good. Tommy and his mommy arrived early (not complaining mind you - I love more time with Tommy) but the cats had not been fed yet! Well we'll just have to figure that out later.

Meredith gave me the low down and we got Tommy settled. He approved of the toys but quickly showed me that he was just fine with the cats' toys (or my Treo)!

We said good bye to Meredith and had fun playing with the cars and other toys. I had thought enough about the night to make sure Meredith brought food for Tommy but hadn't really thought about the whole feeding process. I've got the typical teeny tiny SF apartment with no real dining area. I whipped up the mac and cheese Meredith brought and we sat on the floor to begin the feeding. What a hoot that was. I figured the floor was safer as he couldn't fall. We had a great time eating the mac and cheese as he squirmed all around my lap. (And yes the cats did get fed, they got a special treat...eating under the bed in the bedroom) Sorry no pictures of the feeding - no hands were available for the camera.

We did see the cats from afar. Tommy said hi to Bay Wee, that's what he called Bailey. He also called Max Bay Wee, but then again, Max wasn't coming anywhere near us so it might have been hard for him to tell the difference.

Tommy had a great time playing with Mr. Potato Head, while Bailey watched. And then Bailey checked out Mr. Potato Head while Tommy slept.

I also hadn't really thought about where Tommy would sleep. I thought some blankets on the floor but that wasn't comfortable so the couch won out and then I stacked all the pillows next to the couch just in case he likes to roll over. The better idea though was just to share the couch with him. The only other dilemma left was to figure out if that familiar smell was Tommy or the cats' litter box. . . . .It was the cats.

It was a great first time - can't wait to have him back!

Just when you though it was safe...

Got this hooded towel poncho (that's right, a poncho) at Cost Plus... they have other animals too super cute. This will clear the lake at Twain Harte when Tommy comes in with this on!
