Tommy finally ended his 1st Grade year on June 20th with his school's awards assembly and graduation for Kindergarten and 8th grade. Tommy showed that his hard work has paid off and received a few very special awards. We were very proud of him and he was super proud of himself. The workload is sometimes difficult and homework time can be a battle. It was really nice for him to see that the effort gets noticed!

Each student also gets an award in their class for a particular subject area or "Hilldale Habit"(like ESLRs...). This year Tommy got the "Independent Lifelong Learner Award" for First Grade.
The school also recently updated the pictures on their website. Guess who's part of the slideshow now?! (not sure why he was posing left...)
Now he's onto 2nd grade!
