Buster Posey Camp

Tom & Tommy had an amazing day, back in July, when they got to participate in Buster Posey's ProCamps.  We happened upon this camp because it happened to be taking place at S.I.  After a lot of effort to get Tommy in the camp, they squeezed him in at the last minute as a camper.  Thanks to our SI baseball connections, Tom got word that they needed more coaches and he got to participate as well.

The result was a nice morning of baseball skills, fun, and meeting Buster Posey!

The view from the piazza above the field.  This was only half the campers

Tom may have had even more fun than Tommy.  Plus, Tom got to be catcher to Buster's pitching when Buster got to Tom's group during a scrimmage.

Each "team" got their own group picture with Buster.  Here's Tom and Buster:

And Tommy and Buster.

I don't think either of these boys is going to forget this day for a while.  Props to Buster, as he was great with all the kids and this was the morning after the double header we attended.

Going to a few Giants games

Including a double header against the Reds.  This was a rescheduled game so the Giants were actually the "away" team for the 2nd game.  So Tommy work his home jersey for game one...

... and, like the Giants, switched into his greys for the second game

learning to keep the book

Several Great America trips, with extra credit to Grandma for taking both kids to the water park several times and working on swimming skills and general water comfort.

More to come of our summer adventures...
