Updated - Luck of the Irish

Nana, Jennifer, Tom, Meredith, Tommy and Lucy ventured to the Irish Center for the St Patrick's Day Block Party. There was a little rain but luckily it didn't last.

I love her sweater.

Sharing Lucy's tiara. One of the prizes. They also won sidewalk chalk but we'll need to wait for a dryer day.

At the slide.

Watching Tommy get his face painted.

Resting after all that fun.

Fun on her Feet

On Tuesday, Lucy and Nana took a sample music together class at the discovery museum. Nana reports:

"Here are some pictures from yesterday when Lucy and I went to music time at the Discovery Museum. At the end of music time, the instructor emptied a bag of stuffed animals while she played a lullaby to wind down the class. So each child picks an animal - and Lucy dove in and picked this care bear - she tossed others aside in her choosing! And we came home and Lucy was checking out the kitchen cabinets - I think she will be the one to help me clean them out!"

Then yesterday, Grandma took Lucy to story time and then they visited the Academy of Sciences. Lucy has been there before but has never been the target audience. She enjoyed the fish (and may have said "fish") but loved the little Cove they have for toddlers. Also note the ponytail she is sporting.

Now that Lucy is on the move and clearly having strong opinions of her own, things should get pretty interesting!

Hall of Famers

Ok this is not child related but these two were like little kids again last night so it seems appropriate.

Tom and Jennifer attended the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony (and fancy VIP party) and seemed to have quite the giddy evening of meeting & greeting their favorite 49ers from the Team of the 80s. Dwight Clark and George Seifert were being inducted so the place was full of 9ers.

Some of my favorite messages that came from the event include:

"Jerry Rice shook my hand and said it was good to meet me" - from Tom

and

"George Seifert walked into the men's right ahead of me" - from Tom

Here are the giddy Galvins with the World Series trophy!

Jennifer is dying right now... dying!

I'm sure they will have more to add if they have come down from their high yet.
